FT Island surprised everyone by making it onto the Japanese Oricon daily charts. Coming in at 9th, with their single album which was released on the 17th, the underrated band is starting to gain a presence in Japan.
An FT Island rep stated:
Other Korean bands utilized the assistance of large Japanese record labels to gain popularity, but FT Island was able to make it onto the charts without any true marketing efforts.
FT Island will open the new year in Japan with a concert in January at the Tokyo JCB Hall.
